Michelin Star for The Crown Burchetts Green

We were delighted to hear that one of our dear customers earned a Michelin Star this week. The Crown in Burchetts Green near Maidenhead is a delightful family run Pub with a difference, Simon Bonwick produces superb seasonally driven French food with a British twist.

Chef Patron Simon is a very understated and modest man who has worked with many well known Chefs in the UK often as an unsung hero. His sourcing is top notch, his food truly delicious and he does all this alone in the kitchen.

The restaurant is a family affair with one of Simon’s 11 children running the front of house. Dean Bonwick who previously worked at the 3 Star Waterside Inn in Bray and also Michel Guérard ‘s 3 Star Les Prés d’eugenie , considered amongst the very best restaurants in England and France respectively.

This award is very well deserved and it is so nice to see such consummate  , passionate professionals getting the recognition.

If you live near by be sure to try and secure a table and even if you do not, in our view, it is worth the journey.

The entire team at O’Shea’s would like to congratulate Simon , Dean and the family on their great achievement.
